PariMatch Sports is a bookmaker with 15 years experience in the industry. They are licensed by Curacao, but their primary market is in Eastern Europe, with offices now operating in Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia. Focusing solely on sports betting, with both pre-match and live odds available, PariMatch shun the standard practice of most bookmakers to include a casino and games section.
Users immediately land onto the sportsbook homepage which incorporates an orange, black, grey and white colour scheme. The text and graphics could not be described as state of the art, but everything is put together well enough. The site layout follows the typical modern day bookmaker setup. On the left hand side of the page is the menu, with access to the results page, live results, rules and statistics. Users can view either a standard or advanced statistics section, with most of the sports covered. Although they do not use the standard skin, the statistics section is powered by industry giant BetRadar.
In terms of countries covered, the football coverage is decent, with odds for matches from 34 countries around the world on top of international competition. The English action goes down to the Ryman Premier League – the 7th tier. The number of additional bet types for football is disappointing. For English Premier League matches, there are 1X2, Asian handicap, over/under, over/under for each team and 1X2 first half betting odds. There are also a number of other different betting options including correct score etc. but the variety is nowhere near as big as any of the major and most of the smaller firms in operation.
The competitiveness of odds can be a major determining factor which influences which bookmaker a punter chooses to use. Looking at the matches for the English Premier League, the 1X2 markets usually work to around 105.3% and the Asian handicaps around 105.4%. The 1X2 odds are definitely competitive without being market leading. The Asian handicap odds could be a little more generous – the book percentages are normally smaller for this type of bet than the 1X2 (due to fewer number of outcomes)
When clicking on the Customer Support link, users are directed to a page with a contact form which can be used to send any queries to the Parimatch team. They are operational 24/7 and in addition to the form, there are several telephone numbers. Customer support does converse in English, although it is not always perfect.
Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot to recommend Parimatch to punters, especially those who speak English as their first language. The site is clearly designed for Eastern European bettors. In fairness, the odds are reasonable, but they are not generous enough to compensate for the pitfalls of the website.
